By analysing our own data and processes, we identified anomalies and introduced solutions — demand-based cooling to eliminate unnecessary energy use and optimised furnace loading and timing — increasing output while reducing energy use. These changes resulted in significant cost savings and CO₂ savings. These solutions required zero capital investment — just a mindset of challenging the status quo.
