As a strategic intelligence manager at Aalberts, you will work closely with the chief strategy officer and support key stakeholders within the executive team and the divisions with best-in-class, qualitative and quantitative insights/analytics on markets, competitors, and M&A targets, thereby enabling a rigorous, fact-based decision-making.

key responsibilities

  • drive continuous monitoring of key competitors and relevant markets
  • prepare and distil insights, consolidated data, and strategic implications to senior leadership
  • carry out regular reviews of relevant market developments competitor moves, and key trends, as well as on-demand deep dives to understand new strategic areas
  • provide curated news and timely updates on competitors, markets, and macroeconomics to the executive team and the divisions
  • support strategic planning processes and the deployment of thrive 2030 initiatives
  • support M&A processes, specifically target screening, and target profiling
  • oversee the design and operation of systems and processes to consolidate disparate data sources and support strategic decision making
  • qualify and orchestrate access to the best external insight sources (incl. experts, databases)
  • foster excellence around the collection, curation, analysis, dissemination of intelligence, and build capabilities/toolbox for fact-based decision-making

requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy or market intelligence function, preferably in a corporate setting or consulting
  • strong interest in data analytics and strategic processes
  • familiarity with the industrial goods sector and end-markets relevant to Aalberts
  • track record of collaborating with thought leaders, advisors, and internal stakeholders
  • experience in working with senior leaders, within international environments
