This role offers an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced health & safety (H&S) professional to improve and secure the safety culture at a global technology company in an industrial setting. your duties and responsibilities
As the global health & safety officer at Aalberts, you will play a pivotal role in developing a global Aalberts' H&S strategy that builds on our existing H&S processes and standards and improves them further. The global H&S officer is a technically-experienced H&S professional who can engage across the business and at all levels of the organisation to drive the global H&S agenda together with local and global management.

your efforts will contribute to the overall H&S strategy, performance management, program coordination, and support and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • you are responsible for the development of a long-term global H&S roadmap aligned with the Aalberts’ strategy and stakeholder expectations
  • you monitor and assess H&S performance across the organisation
  • you identify and develop best practices within Aalberts, sharing insights and lessons learned across business teams
  • you develop and harmonise H&S standards and procedures for Aalberts, supporting business teams in implementation
  • you develop and provide Aalberts-specific training programs, fostering a culture of safety expertise
  • you challenge business teams to achieve H&S targets, providing guidance and expertise as needed
  • you support business teams with safety visits, facilitating knowledge exchange and continuous improvement

your qualifications and profile

  • > 10 years of experience in a H&S leadership role, preferably in a multinational industrial setting
  • strong track record of H&S excellence and technical understanding within industrial manufacturing environments
  • proven track record of changing culture within a multinational industrial setting
  • in-depth knowledge of H&S legal requirements and certifications, such as OSHA and ISO 45001
  • ideally, experience working in an environment using hazardous materials
  • degree in occupational H&S
